Sculptural layers. Generous silhouettes. Color with character.
A new season can start with a different silhouette, a richer shade or a fresh way to wear a familiar piece. For our fall 2026 modest fashion edit, we are looking at clothes with visible shape and details you can build an outfit around.
Vogue’s fall 2026 report highlights expressive proportions, thoughtful layering and green-and-brown palettes. Our interpretation brings those ideas into four FUMIDAR looks, with options for skirt lovers, wide-leg trouser fans and anyone drawn to a softly shaped shirt dress. Read the seasonal trend report.

01 / Sculptural layers
Let a skirt set create the shape
The Samira (SY841) top-and-skirt set is our starting point for this edit. An asymmetric top sits over a generously gathered skirt, creating two distinct lines in the same color. Wide sleeves echo the fullness below, while side pockets bring a practical detail to the skirt.
The burgundy version gives the silhouette a rich focal point. Wine tones also feature in British Vogue’s autumn 2026 burgundy edit. Here, we would keep the rest of the outfit simple so that the hemline and volume stay visible.
How we would wear it: Add a compact bag and simple closed-toe shoes for dinner or an afternoon gathering. If you wear a hijab, try a close tonal shade, with a neat drape that leaves the asymmetric hem in view. For another day, pair the skirt with a plain long-sleeved top already in your wardrobe.

02 / Generous proportions
Give wide-leg dressing more room
For those who prefer trousers, Nadira (SY842) carries the idea of volume through an especially wide leg. The matching top has an asymmetric hem, while the subtle surface texture gives the brown look another point of interest. The trousers include side pockets.
Wearing both pieces together lets you enjoy the full silhouette. You can also use the trousers as the starting point for a different outfit, pairing them with a simple tunic and keeping the colors close.
How we would wear it: Try a cream scarf and a small structured bag for a lunch date or gallery visit. When choosing outerwear, leave enough room through the sleeves and hips to preserve the shape. Check the trouser length with the shoes you plan to wear, so the wide hem clears the ground.

03 / Earthy color, useful detail
Build an everyday look around olive
Rima (SY852) gives the matching set a more practical mood. The long top has a stand collar and two visible front patch pockets, paired with wide-leg trousers that also have pockets. These details make it our choice for an everyday outfit with a clear, unfussy shape.
The olive version is a useful starting point for tonal styling. Try it with cream for a softer contrast, brown for a grounded combination or a similar olive shade for a more continuous line.
How we would wear it: Pair the set with loafers and a shoulder bag for a day of errands followed by coffee. A long coat can add a separate layer when the weather calls for it. If you choose a coordinating hijab, treat it as a separate styling piece; the set includes the top and trousers.

04 / Softly shaped shirting
Bring a shirt dress into the mix
Basma (SY851) offers a different balance of shape. A pointed collar and broad cuffs give the dress definition, while dropped shoulders, full sleeves and waist pleats soften the outline. A waist belt and pockets complete the design.
The Blue Grey version introduces a lighter note alongside the deeper colors in this edit. We would use it for days when the outfit needs to move between a meeting, lunch and an evening plan, changing the accessories to suit the setting.
How we would wear it: Add a simple coat and a structured tote. The pictured hem sits above the ankle, so tall boots are an option if you prefer more lower-leg coverage. If you wear a hijab, a coordinating shade keeps the collar and sleeves central to the look. The hijab shown is not included.

Start with the silhouette you reach for most: the full skirt of SY841, the generous trousers of SY842, the pocketed set of SY852 or the shirt-dress shape of SY851. Then choose one styling change, such as a tonal scarf, a different shoe or an outer layer, to make the outfit yours.
Each of these four styles is made from woven, non-stretch polyester and is unlined. Use your preferred fit and layering when choosing a size, and follow the garment’s care label.
Looking ahead, Vogue Arabia’s spring/summer 2027 runway review also explores longer lines, layering and generous proportions for modest dressing. That is a next-season runway preview; this edit focuses on how we would wear FUMIDAR now.
